Abstract
Simulation on the perforation of reinforced concrete target is performed by the use of user-defined concrete damage model and a comparison between simulation results and experimental results is performed. The simulated results indicate that it well reflects the cone crater, tunneling and spalling phenomena on the back surface, the formation and evolution of radial and circumferential cracks as well as the compressive and tension damage contours distribution. The destructive region and the predicted velocity are consistent with the experimental results.
