Abstract

Sub-pixel imaging technique based on optical microscanning is developing very fast. Sub-pixel imaging technique is more effective when it is used in thermal imaging system which has less detector units and biggish detector unit area. As aim at the FC and GP thermal imaging system based on scanning focal plane detector, using CFLIR4.0 simulation software analyses the thermal imaging system's performance improvement by increasing optical system relative aperture, oversample and sub-pixel imaging. The analysis includes MTF, NETD, MRTD and the system detection and recognition distance. The analysis indicates that oversample imaging system and sub-pixel imaging system can improve thermal imaging system's performance and system action distance. Research result enormously enhances the development of sub-pixel thermal imaging technique.
