Abstract

We propose and design a silicon photonic chip for phase-coded linearly-chirped microwave waveform generation based on opto-electronic oscillator. Using the chip, a phase-coded linearly-chirped microwave waveform with an ultra-large time-bandwidth product of 1.96×106 is experimentally demonstrated.
