Abstract

The separation behaviors of all the ten positional isomers of dimethylnaphthalene in nine gas chromatographic stationary phases columns were studied. The results indicated (DMN) that all the positional isomers of dimethylnaphthalene except for 2,6-DMN and 2,7-DMN can be separated very well in haptakis(2,6-di-O-pentyl-3-O-butyryl)-β-cyclodextrin (β-CD), haptakis(2,6-di-O-pentyl-3-O-heptanoyl)-β-CD and polymer liquid crystal-1 stationary phases columns.
