Semi-blind channel estimation exploiting virtual carriers in STC-OFDM systems

Abstract

A subspace based semi-blind channel estimation method exploiting the virtual carriers in STC-OFDM systems is proposed here. Theoretical analysis and simulation results show that the performance can be improved by considering virtual carriers. The method is robust to the channel order estimation and independent of the location of the virtual carriers.
