See-through and true 3D head-mounted display based on complex amplitude modulation

Abstract

A see-through and true 3D head-mounted display (3D-HMD) is designed based on the complex amplitude modulation. It presents 3D images to avoid the accommodation-vergence conflict. Experimental results showed that the system has continuous depth cues with dynamic display ability.
