Abstract

The status of high energetic density diamondoid compounds from the relationship of molecular structure and properties, the synthesis of energetic adamantane derivatives and applications of high energetic density diamondoid compounds are reviewed. Furthermore, the possible orientation of high energy diamondoid fuels was predicted. The green and efficient synthesis process and fuel blending technology of high energy diamondoids are worthy of further study.
