Abstract

In order to investigate the ignition mechanism of HTPB propellants subjected to high pressure waterjet, different formulas were selected, the researches on the impact effects of high-pressure waterjet were carried out, and they were analyzed by using SEM and infrared spectra before and after impact. The results show that the surface morphology and composition of HTPB propellant change under the impact of high-pressure waterjet and it changes chemically, and the contents of ammonium perchlorate and ferrocene affect the chemical change greatly.
