Research torque control precision of in-wheel-motor for electric vehicle

Abstract

The traction motor of electric vehicle (EV) is different from the general traction motor completely. The specialty and classify of the electromotors are summarized firstly to satisfy the need of measurement. A dynamometer for motor used in electric vehicles is developed. The dynamometer adopts AC motor to realize drive and load function, which can realize the real-time measurement and data store, and the dynamic state of the dynamometer is well. Based on the theory of torque control, experiments of in-wheel-motor are researched. The result shows that the motor system is according with the design.
