Abstract

The ultrafiltration technology of hollow fiber membranes (PVDF and PS) was researched on the separation of aqueous extract of Thesium Chinese Turcz. The many factors affected on the flux, including temperature, pressure, pretreatment method and cleaning method of membranes, were studied. The ultrafiltration technology was compared with the precipitation method by alcohol's addition, estimated by extract yield and content of total flavone. The results showed that the ultrafiltration could effectively remove proteins and other impurities and concentrate the active substances in the Thesium Chinese Turcz. The ultrafiltration technology of hollow fiber membranes is feasible in the separation of the Thesium Chinese Turcz.
