Abstract

A new test method that evaluates the obscure effect of smoke screens to IR-radiation (including 1.06 μm laser) was presented. SR5000 spectrum radiometer and the AGEM900 heat-image meter were used together. This system can give the attenuation characteristics of the smoke screens to IR (laser) and visible light and offer the data of the smoke screening size and screening time.
