Abstract

When using conventional methods to detect human body face, there will always be several problems, such as high false alarm rate, the existence of blind corners and complex design. In this paper, an effective non-contact electrostatic detection method is proposed. The experiment results show that the electrostatic signals are mainly generated by the friction between the sole and the surface of floor when human body is moving. Meanwhile, estimating the speed of human body movement by electrostatic signal is feasible, which lay the foundation for the further research and application of electrostatic signals in human body detection.
