Abstract

The improvement of radar stealth technology has increasingly highlighted the research demand for analyzing the scattering characteristics of radar targets. We discussed the methods of target scattering field reconstruction and radar scattering cross section (RCS) inversion based on Inverse Synthetic Aperture Radar (ISAR) images. In the first step, we establish the radar target model and obtain the target echo information through computational electromagnetic simulation. In the second step, we use the echo data to carry out far-field ISAR imaging. In the third step, we use the ISAR image to extract the target scattering center model. In the fourth step, the target scattering center data is processed according to the scattering field reconstruction theory and RCS inversion algorithm. This simulation can provide a reference for the practical engineering of acquiring and processing the scattering field data of electric large-scale radar targets.
