N2 - In this paper, the electromagnetic 3D simulation software CST is used to establish a through-wall imaging model to simulate the actual imaging scenario. In the CST microwave studio, a through-wall imaging model is established with plane wave as the excitation, a corner reflector (CR) as the detection target, and a series of electric field probes as the receivers. The real synthetic aperture radar (SAR) data is simulated using the echo signals obtained from a series of electric field probes. The echo data in different cases are analyzed and pre-processed using the background subtraction method. On this basis, the original echo data obtained from the CST is simulated and imaged using the range doppler algorithm (RDA) and the imaging results of the target are analyzed. The results show that the model is correctly established and that it not only takes into account the effects of multipath and clutter, but also provides good imaging results.
