Abstract
To evaluate the ability of conventional warheads to damage the buried hardened targets, the technology framework of damage assessment for buried structures under conventional weapon attack was investigated based on the available damage assessment methods on account of the complexity of distribution and failure modes of targets. The general methods and the key technology of damage assessment framework were summarized in seven aspects, including target vulnerability analysis, warhead lethality analysis, design and optimization of equivalent target, design of field test method, measure of damage effect parameters, simulation of damage effect, engineering calculation of physical damage and quantitative assessment of damage effectiveness; and these main contents were presented. This investigation offers a valuable reference to engineering research of buried structure damage assessment.
