Abstract

Based on the basic theory of usability test, a problem about how to improve the usability and UX (user experience) of literature searching websites are explored in this paper. Taking the CNKI website as an example, the usability test of the existing version of CNKI was carried out. The factors which affect the usability and UX of CNKI were obtained, and an iterative design were designed. Then, by comparing data of usability test between 2 versions. It is concluded that the optimized UX design can improve the usability of the website. Finally, key factors and guidance of optimizing the UX design of literature searching websites were proposed in this paper.
