Abstract
To decrease the high temperature of concentric canister launcher in the launching process of missile, the water chamber was designed at the bottom of concentric canister launcher. The water was injected at the launching moment or some time before the launching moment. The water vaporized and absorbed heat, and then the temperature can be decreased. The water vaporization was considered, and the Mixture multiphase was used to solve the gas-liquid flow field. The zone moving and dynamic laying was used to update the meshes. The different water mass conditions were simulated. The 15 kg computational result was compared with the simulation results of the standard and ejecting concentric canister launchers. The concentric canister launcher with 15 kg water can decrease the missile temperature and keep the missile at a low temperature in the whole launching process. The cooling effect of wet concentric canister launcher is preferable.
