Abstract

In addition to active safety, passive safety, and functional safety, automotive cyber security becomes the fourth largest safety issue in the automotive field, triggering extensive researches in academia and industry. Based on the cyber security requirements of a domestic vehicle, a new type of vehicle electronic and electrical architecture was designed, considering the vehicle network topology, controller design, and communication data protection. In terms of cyber security, it can achieve defense-in-depth for the entire vehicle system. In addition, the improvement was applied to the finished vehicle and cyber security penetration tests were carried out. Tests show that by the proposed solution, the original cyber security loopholes have been fixed, and the cyber security level of the entire vehicle has been significantly improved.
