Abstract

The underwater shock wave performance parameters of TNT, RS211, RBUL, GUHL are studied. The pressure-time curves of underwater shock wave are obtained experimentally at difference distances of far field underwater explosion. The attenuation of peak pressure, shock wave energy and bubble energy are calculated. The energy dissipation characteristics of explosives are also analyzed for the far field underwater explosion. RBUL and GUHL gives better underwater shock wave performance among the explosives. The results show that the total heat energy loss of 5 kg explosive parabolically increases at 0~3 m, and the energy dissipation can be neglected beyond 5 m.
