Abstract
In order to satisfy users' individual requirements, the clustering planning method of machine cell for product family was presented after analyzing module structure and its component proportion of product family. Subjected to the features of modular architecture and member composing proportion of product family, the composition modeling of product family was constructed and the relation matrix between part-component and process step was derived. Then, by using the clustering analysis method based on average linkage, the reasonable number of component aggregate cluster was obtained, and correspondingly, the quantity of manufacturing load of every process step for the total product within family with the special composing proportion was also calculated. Finally, the machine cell corresponding with each component category was derived by the tradeoff and allocation of enterprise resources to fulfill the load quantity of each step in the process. One experiment was discussed to illustrate the process. This method embodies the integration of design and manufacture and benefits the implementation of mass customization production based on product family.
