Abstract

To solve the problems of aero-structural coupled analysis and optimization inefficiency, a wings aero-structural coupled analysis approach with high fidelity computational fluid dynamics (CFD) model and computational structural dynamics (CSD) model is researched. The affection of aerodynamics and structure before and after coupling is shown, which indicates the importance of aero-structural coupled analysis. Based on the global optimization strategy of adaptive response surface method (ARSM), a global optimization method using adaptive RBF based on fuzzy clustering (ARFC) is proposed, whose global optimizing capability and optimization efficiency is studied. A multidisciplinary design optimization of aero-structural coupled analysis using ARFC is implemented. It is demonstrated that the aero-structural coupled analysis approach is feasible and ARFC improves the efficiency of optimization.
