Abstract
As to the features and needs of aircrafts multidisciplinary design optimization (MDO), development of MOdular Multidisciplinary Integrated Design Environment for Aircrafts (MOMIDEA) was researched through utilizing the good capability of process integration and opening architecture of ModelCenter framework. The hardware and software configuration of MOMIDEA was introduced. Moreover, parametric geometry models, subsystem analysis models and algorithms used in MDO were modularly integrated with various approaches including Filewrapper, Plug-in, VB script, Marco and so on. The practicability of MOMIDEA was validated through two application cases. Finally, the research direction in the future was proposed in order to enhance the function of MOMIDEA.
