Abstract
The metal matrix reactive materials are composed of various metals or metal-polymer combination, and they are different from traditional materials in high energy and insensitivity. They have a great application prospect in national defense and civil industry. Shock-induced chemical reaction (SICR) was exactly proposed for the research on the new energetic materials, and studied as a new class of reaction. The present status of experimental research, theoretical exploration and numerical simulation of SICR at home or abroad was mainly introduced in this work. Moreover the future prospect of SICR and the recommendations for the recent work were proposed.
