Abstract

This paper presents a Corner Turning Memory (CTM) solution for real-time Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) imaging processing. This solution can greatly improve the efficiency of matrix transpose, which is a necessary step in SAR imaging processing. In this paper, Cross-bank first method and sub-block matrix mapping method are used according to the structure features and operating characteristics of DDR3 SDRAM. Test results which can prove the effectiveness of this referred CTM solution are given later in this paper.
