Abstract

In view of that the traditional ways of reliability analysis cannot clearly reflect the multi-state performance of electric vehicle, the multi-state system theory was introduced for reliability analysis of electric vehicle. The reliability model of electric vehicle was established based on the construction of electric commercial vehicle (M3/N3). According to the multi-state system theory, reliability of the electric vehicle was analyzed, and the results were compared with that obtained by the traditional reliability method. The results showed that the multi-state system theory can depict the different performance of the electric vehicle and estimate the reliability of the electric vehicle which satisfied the demand of design. The multi-state system theory is more suitable for the reliability analysis of the electric vehicle.
