Abstract

To cope with video artifacts reduction, a new algorithm using bilateral filter is proposed. Compared to the ad-hoc de-nosing algorithms, a new method demonstrates the super performance both subjective and objective evaluation. Additionally, for reducing the heavy computation load of bilateral filter, the fast fixed point bilateral filter is proposed. all the test results show that, by using proposed fast implementation, it is possible to keep the same performance as well as the original one.
