Abstract

Ray path tracing is a key step to apply geometrical theory of diffraction in solving the problems of high-frequency electromagnetic scattering and radiating. The paper introduces a dynamic programming method and gives the algorithm model for ray tracing on any convex surfaces. The algorithm model is tested by tracing the ray path on infinite cylinder. The method can be applied to trace the ray path on arbitrary convex surfaces with inhomogeneous media.
