Abstract

Rate constants for the reactions of (Z)-CF3CHCHF (k1) and (E)-CF3CHCHF (k2) with OH radicals assessed by a relative rate method were: (0.911 ± 0.234) × 10-12 exp[(114 ± 70)/T], (1.05 ± 0.02) × 10-12 exp[-(118 ± 10)/T] at 253-328 K; and (1.37 ± 0.04) × 10-12, (0.699 ± 0.043) × 10-12 at 298 K cm3 molecule-1 s-1. The atmospheric lifetimes were determined as ∼8.4 and 17 days, respectively. GWPs for the 100 year time horizon were estimated to be 3 and 7, respectively.
