Abstract

Backward projection (BP) imaging algorithm is widely used in the field of synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imaging.Due to large amount of computation, which is not conducive to real-time imaging. In this paper, a fast BP imaging algorithm that suitable for ground-based arc synthetic aperture radar (GB-ArcSAR) is proposed. The algorithm uses the oblique shift invariance during BP imaging and the symmetry of the oblique matrix of the imaging area to reduce the redundant calculations. The effectiveness and imaging performances of the algorithm are verified by simulating.
