Abstract

In this work, we chose graphene oxide, lead acetate, and polyvinyl alcohol as precursor materials, and prepared spherical carbon-based lead azide composites in which nano-level lead azide was uniformly distributed in the graphene sheet layer. Detailed characterization shows that due to the excellent thermal and electrical conductivity of the graphene sheet, the electrostatic sensitivity of LA/C/GA (lead azide/carbon/graphene) is reduced from 0.11 J to 1.84 J, and the flame sensitivity is increased from 8 cm to 43 cm. The performance of LA/C/GA is better than previously reported pure LA (lead azide) and most modified LA materials.
