Abstract
A series of Fe2-xCrxO3 (x=0, 0.4, 0.8, 1.2, 1.6, 2.0) mixed oxides have been prepared with the chemical coprecipitation method and characterized by specific surface area, transmission electron microscopy (TEM), powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), IR and Mössbauer spectroscopy. Single-phase Fe-Cr mixed oxide nano-crystalline powders with corundum structure are obtained, and the results of the five characterization methods are well accordant with each other. Furthermore, gas-sensitive properties of the sensors made of the oxide powders have been studied.
