Abstract
A series of thermo-sensitive hydrogel were successfully prepared by physical methods with hydroxy propyl methyl callulose (HPMC), pollyanionic callulose (PAC), AlCl3·6H2O as raw materials, and their properties such as gel strength, swelling behavior, salt resistence and temperature sensibility were studied. The results showed that the gel strength of PAC/HPMC hydrogel was influenced by HPMC's content and molecular weight. There was always an optimum content and molecular weight corresponding to the maximum in gel strength. The equilibium swelling ratio of PAC/HPMC hydrogel decreased with the concentration of Nacl solution and were always higher than that of pure PAC hydrogel; PAC/HPMC hydrogels were thermosensitive, the LCST of PAC/HPMC hydrogels were lower than those of HPMC.
