Abstract

Chromatography column packing of the newly prepared carbobenzyloxy-L-Ser derived β-CD bonded phase (SCDS), along with the underived β-CD bonded phase (CDS) were investigated. Satisfactory column efficiency, peak shape and reproducibility were obtained by optimizing high pressure column packing technology, such as packing pressure and slurry dispersing medium. The separation performance of SCDS for several position isomers and chiral compounds were also investigated and compared with CDS. The newly prepared column exhibited specific properties in realizing isomers separation.
