Abstract

Poly(butylene succinate) (PBS) microcapsules were prepared by emulsion solvent evaporation process. Excellent morphology of microcapsules containing fluorescent red orange was obtained when preparation was optimized. Pigment microcapsules exhibited narrower size distribution in the range of 3 μm-12 μm and less mean diameter (10.5 μm) than pigment. SEM, TEM, Fluorescence spectrophotometer and FT-IR measurements revealed that pigments are well encapsulated. Moreover their pigmentation are increased with improving of their dispersing.
