Abstract
Based on the principle of axial vibration drilling, the condition of achieving separate type vibration drilling is discussed and the mechanism of chip formation is analyzed. Next, the computation equations of chip dimension are built. Finally, the experiment of separate type vibration drilling is conducted on 2A12 duralumin and Q235 steel. This research shows that, the calculation results of chip dimension are in a good accord with test results, the computation method can be used to prediction and control of chip dimension.
