Abstract

Through the introduction of generalized stochastic Petri net (GSPN), the workflow definition of workflow management coalition is mapped to the generalized stochastic workflow net. By utilizing the equivalence relation between GSPN and Markov chain, a new method is put forward, which combines Petri net and Markov chain to analyze the workflow performance effectively. Finally, an application case is given to verify that this method can analyze the time performance and resource usage.
