Abstract
The bit error rate (BER) and the symbol error rate (SER) performance of the proposed rateless coded multi-hop communication systems over Rician channels are studied under imperfect receiver conditions, such as stochastic phase error, quadrature error, and in-phase-quadrature (I-Q) gain mismatch. In particular, an upper bound of SER for an uncoded system is derived. The validity of the proposed rateless coded system is substantiated by simulation results both in homogeneous and inhomogeneous environments with dual-hop transmission as a special case.
