Abstract

The medium-thickness plate penetration enhanced behavior of coupled kinetic energy and chemical energy of reactive fragment was investigated. A series of penetration experiments were conducted. After the experiments, the High-speed photography images and blackening at front plate were compared. The results show that the enhancement behavior of reactive fragment penetrating is related to the intensity of deflagration at front plate. Division of deflagration zones of reactive fragment impacting at front plate is proposed, combine dynamic model of reactive fragment penetrating medium-thickness plate, reveal the enhancement mechanism of reactive fragment penetrating medium-thickness plate below ballistic limit velocity.
