Abstract

For understanding the details of RDX/AP/Al aluminized explosive detonation, some of the aluminized explosives (RDX/AP/Al) detonation tests were carried out. With NaCl crystals as windows, the interface particle velocities between NaCl and the aluminized explosives were measured by the VISAR interometry technique. The ignition and growth reactive flow model was used to describe the aluminized explosive detonation. The numerical simulations of the detonation tests were conducted. The parameters of reaction rate law were gained by the comparison of calculational and experimental interface particle velocities.
