Abstract

In this paper, we investigate the power allocation scheme based on the particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm in wireless cooperative network, where the power allocation can be completed only with the average channel state information at the transmitters. With PSO algorithm, the near-optimal solution could be obtained, which has lower complexity compared with the traditional exhaustive search method. The proposed scheme can minimize the outage probability subjected to a fixed total power constraint. Simulation results demonstrate that the PSO based power allocation scheme outperforms the equal power allocation scheme significantly.
