Abstract

To investigate the spray characteristics for high pressure common rail fuel injection system, a system suitable for PIV measurement is designed. The spray from the electronic control high pressure common rail fuel injection system with pressure of 100 MPa was measured with the PIV devices from TSI, and images of spray development were obtained, The test data were analyzed with the image process software Insight of TSI, local vortex were obtained.
