Abstract

Studies the influence of electric parameters on machining targets in achieving parameter optimization, when electrical discharge machining oil supply tank with copper electrodes. Some parameters such as processing speed, electrode wear speed, machining gap and relative wear ratio are chosen as machining targets, applying grey theory to analyze the correlation degree between electric parameters and machining targets. Grey theory is put forward to optimize electric parameters, obtaining optimized parameters in single-object and multi-objects. Experimental results indicated that optimized parameters have a distinct effect on reducing electrode wearing speed and relative wear when adopting the optimized parameters.
