Abstract

Initiating explosive device is an important part of a nuclear weapon system, and its output performance directly affects the detonation effect of nuclear weapons. In order to evaluate the reliability of output of nuclear initiating explosive device in small samples, Monte Carlo method is used to simulate the distribution test method and the influence of the sample size on the distribution test method is studied. Then the Bootstrap method and the Bayes approximation limit method are combined to obtain the lower limit of reliability, and a set of systematic reliability assessment method is given. By this method, a slapper detonator with little output performance data is assessed, and the lower limit of reliability to meet the performance index is obtained. The results show that this method is reasonable for the output reliability assessment of initiating explosive device in small samples.
