Abstract

In the context of two-wave with diffuse power (TWDP) fading scenarios, this paper analyzes the outage probability of cooperative relay networks. The decode-and-forward (DF) cooperative network and independent and identically distributed (i.i.d) fading channels are assumed in this paper. Specifically, a novel closed-form expression is derived for the outage probability of DF cooperative relay networks over TWDP fading channels. Monte Carlo simulations confirm the presented mathematical analysis. Our derived results apply to general operating scenarios with distinct TWDP fading parameters and arbitrary number of relays.
