Abstract

Quasi-fluid Delayed S&A is a new delayed-action device for muzzle safety of fuze. It is a critical component about the safety of fuze. An improper design will reduce the safety distance of fuze, as a result the fuze failure occurs. In this paper, with a thorough analysis of hydromechanical characteristic of Quasi-fluid delayed S&A and the principle of its function, a method of orthogonal design is provided and the structural parameters are optimized. It is proved through experiments that the performance is well.
