Abstract

A new kind of non-contact thermal resistance heat exchanger was designed, in which the integrated molding technology was used to eliminate the gap and thermal contact resistance between the corrugated fins and refrigerant channel completely. The numerical model of the new heat exchanger's corrugated fin was established, and the Fluent software was used to obtain the optimized structural parameters of fin, which provide a theoretical basis for practical design and research. Based on the optimization results, the prototype of new heat exchanger was produced. Then the contrast experiments between the new heat exchanger and the common wing-pipe heat exchanger of family air-condition were done. The experimental results show that the air-condition with new heat exchanger can create more refrigerating capacity and improve EER (energy efficiency ratio) more than 10% both on the condition of high air flow and low air flow.
