Abstract

In this paper, we propose a novel auction-based distributed control method with respect to market uniform clearing price(MCP) mechanism to implement the charging problems of plug-in electric vehicles(PEVs) over a finite interval. In the auction-based market uniform clearing price mechanism, each PEV submits a bid profile to the system, and a market uniform clearing price is defined by all the bid profiles, then each PEV optimizes its bid profile to achieve maximizing its private benefit, meanwhile the system-wide generation costs is minimum. In this mechanism, the electricity market plays an important role via market uniform clearing price to regulate the resource allocation, and the PEVs participate in the auction energetically by submitting their private bid profiles for their maximum private benefits. The simulation results indicate that this mechanism can achieve the distributed control strategy to converge to the global optimal control strategy.
