Abstract

A hyperspectral reconnaissance system combining image with spectrum is discussed, based on concave grating and BTCCD, an UV/VIS/NIR broadband hyperspectral system (HIS) is constructed. After tradeoff among the geometrical optical parameters (FOV, blur spot, pixel pitch, F etc.) and physical optical parameters (bandwidth, waveband, spectral resolution etc). Optical design for the given system is discussed. From tests and experiments, an image having a blur spot less than 2pixel is obtained and the capability of detecting a camouflage object is verified at last, providing a way in battlefield reconnaissance and auto target recognition.
