Abstract

The step-frequency wall-penetrating radar that uses the step-frequency system to generate a transmission signal can penetrate walls, shelters, and other shelters, and can detect people hidden behind the wall. It has important application value in military operations, counter-terrorism operations, and disaster relief. The S-band step-frequency wall-penetrating radar can achieve a range resolution of 0.5m, and the walls of different media have a small attenuation of the S-band transmission signal. This article analyzes the ranging principle of step-frequency S-band through-wall radar, and uses Matlab software to simulate the normalized range image of a stationary target. The simulation results show that the one-dimensional distance image corresponding to the stationary target can be displayed correctly.
