On the influence of precision temperature control to the performance of an inertial platform system

Abstract

This paper expounds the relationship between the temperature control of an inertial platform and accuracy of the inertial navigation system. A kind of temperature control method is brought forward, the selection of temperature control point, control mode, and algorithm of control being all based on the environment and the controlled object. Influence to the performance of inertial platform when without temperature control, with temperature control, with long time temperature control and with short time control is separately studied. The results of experimentation indicate that the system is fast in control speed and accurate in control precision. It provides an applied method in solving the problem that has curtailed the course of inertial parts in reaching heat equation and entering the steady state. It also offers a beneficial reference to similar temperature control systems.
